Rather than attempting to compare comics against third-party grading companies such as CGC or CBCS, our grading is designed to provide clear, consistent expectations for the comics we supply.

These comics are supplied as new and unread through official distributor channels.

As with most modern comics, they may exhibit only the slightest handling, storage or manufacturing imperfections acquired during the distribution process, such as tiny spine ticks, very minor corner or edge wear, or slight print misalignment. Despite these minor imperfections, the comic remains complete, structurally sound and meets our expected VF/NM standard.

VF/NM listings are generally supplied using stock images only, as individual copies are not routinely photographed. If you'd like photographs of the exact comic before purchasing, please get in touch and we'll be happy to provide them where possible.

Orders are typically dispatched within 1–4 working days of purchase.

Orders containing both released and pre-order items are dispatched once all items are available. If you'd prefer your in-stock items to be dispatched sooner, split shipments can be arranged on request, subject to an additional shipping charge.

Where possible, orders are dispatched together to help minimise the number of shipments while keeping delivery fair and cost-effective.

We've chosen this approach because we believe it's the fairest way to price the products we sell. Rather than building postage costs into every eligible item, we charge fair product prices alongside a flat-rate tracked shipping fee where applicable, so combining eligible items offers better overall value. Some larger or oversized products require different packaging and shipping methods and may therefore be excluded from this pricing structure. We also absorb part of the postage and specialist packaging costs to help keep delivery fair and affordable.

Evri Tracked is our standard delivery service, with Royal Mail Tracked 48 also available during checkout.

 

 

MANAGING YOUR ORDERS

Orders placed separately using the same customer name and delivery address may be combined before dispatch where practical. Any excess shipping paid will be automatically refunded.

Comics are dispatched using rigid comic mailers, while larger collectables are packaged using materials suited to their size and format. Every order is packed with the same care and attention, regardless of what you've purchased.

Requests made after this deadline, including titles approaching release or already released, are not eligible for the 20% pre-FOC discount.

Build and manage your comic selections with us directly, and we'll keep you updated about your reserved titles, including any changes or issues that may affect them.

When you're ready to receive your comics, just ask us to pull your box. We'll arrange one invoice for everything you've chosen to take, with a single £2.99 shipping charge. Once paid, we'll prepare and dispatch your comics together.

Spooky Electro Condition Guide

About Our Grading:
Every comic is individually quality checked before dispatch. Our grades are designed to provide clear and consistent expectations before you buy.

Independent Grading:
These grades are unique to Spooky Electro and are not intended to be directly comparable with CGC or CBCS.

● VF/NM:
Our highest standard. Little to no visible handling or manufacturing imperfections.

● VF+:
Minor spine ticks or light manufacturing imperfections may be present, but corner dings, creasing and significant edge wear are not expected.

● VF:
Noticeable handling or manufacturing imperfections, such as multiple spine ticks, minor corner dings, light edge wear or slight cover waviness.

● FN:
More noticeable cosmetic imperfections, such as corner creasing, multiple spine ticks, edge wear, cover waviness or age-related yellowing.

Listing Images:
VF and FN listings always include photographs of the comic for sale. VF/NM and VF+ listings may also include additional images where helpful.

 

Returns

Comics:
Comics, Trade Paperbacks, Hardcovers and Omnibus editions are non-returnable once dispatched under the Consumer Contracts Regulations exemption for unsealed periodicals. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Blind & Mystery Products:
All Blind Bags, Blind Boxes and other sealed chance-based products are non-returnable. This includes products that remain factory sealed. By purchasing these items, you accept the randomly selected contents as part of the product. To protect the integrity of these products for all customers, returns or exchanges cannot be accepted due to duplicate contents, rarity, collectability, perceived value or personal preference.

Other Collectables:
Unopened collectables may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, complete and returned in their original packaging.

Pre-Order Cancellations:
Pre-orders may be cancelled at any time before dispatch unless clearly identified as a special order, bespoke request or another non-cancellable purchase.

Refunds:
Approved refunds are normally processed within 5–7 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

Account Review:
In the interests of keeping our service fair for all customers, accounts may be reviewed following repeated returns, cancellations or policy-related issues. Where appropriate, we may decline future orders.

International Delivery:

Combined Shipping:
Orders may be combined or split at our discretion. Any excess shipping paid where orders are combined will be refunded where applicable.

Busy Periods:
During major new releases, promotional events or holiday periods, dispatch may take slightly longer than usual. If this happens, we'll keep you updated.

Publisher Delays:
Significant publisher or distributor delays may result in orders being split and dispatched separately at our discretion.

Packaging:
Every order is dispatched using rigid comic mailers and appropriate protective packaging for the items ordered.

 

Bagging & Boarding

Complimentary:
Bagging and boarding is included at no additional cost where appropriate.

Materials:
We use quality comic bags and boards selected to provide appropriate protection during storage and transit.

Sizing:
Current, Silver or Magazine-sized bags and boards may be used, depending on the product.

Supplier Transition:
During our transition, orders may be supplied using Comic Care or Comic Stor bags and boards, depending on stock availability.

Oversized Items:
Some oversized publications cannot be bagged and/or boarded due to their format.

Product Information:
Images, creator credits, specifications and release dates are supplied by publishers and distributors and may change without notice.

Cover Artwork:
Unless a listing specifically states "Virgin Cover", artwork shown without trade dress may be supplied with publisher logos, barcodes and other trade dress.
