What We Do:
We compile all Final Order Cut-offs (FOCs) for each comic book on a weekly basis.
We submit our orders to our distributor, adjusting quantities as necessary.
The distributor fulfils our order; however, occasional shortages may occur, a situation common to all retailers.
We verify order accuracy and conduct a comprehensive quality assessment of each item received. Take heed of the Disclaimer below to learn what is acceptable when receiving comic books.
We fulfil customer orders, allocating the best available copies on a first-come, first-served basis.

What is acceptable on delivery of comics?:
Our commitment is to provide the highest quality copies that we have available, and we cannot guarantee specific grades for raw books. We strive to deliver the best possible condition upon receipt. Comic books may exhibit minor imperfections, including printing errors, smudge marks (more visible on white covers), ink lines/bleeds (more apparent on coloured covers), minor spine creases, and slight corner imperfections. These are standard industry characteristics, and while we are dedicated to providing excellent service, returns may not be accepted for these types of issues.
We kindly request that you contact us prior to leaving any Negative feedback, as we are committed to supporting our community.
As a standard practice, we only ship items that meet our own quality standards.
If anything unexpected is found beyond what we've described, we'll get in touch and give you the choice to cancel. It's not perfect, but we'd rather haunt your satisfaction than make a sale that leaves you unhappy.
All Pre-Sale comics will be supplied in accordance of a 9.0+, this allows for a couple of spine ticks and slight marks to cover.

Bagging/Boarding + Trim-Sizes:
Each issue will arrive securely bagged and boarded, a complimentary service to protect your eerie collection. Any listings without this service will be clearly marked above the product synopsis, lurking for you to see. It all depends on trim size (which we've implemented into metafields from Jan '26 onwards).
We stock Current, Silver, Golden, and Magazine-sized bags and boards. Unfortunately, some trim sizes are too large even for Magazine-sized bags, though we accommodate where we can.
Your comics will be carefully bagged and boarded with premium Comicare supplies, using up to Silver-Size protection for each issue. They'll come in either resealable or standard polybags, depending on what's available from the distributor at the time of restocking. This standard practice ensures your collection stays protected without affecting your consumer rights. These supplies can be purchased from either here or by searching our eBay's other listings

Blind Bags/Boxes:
Due to recent events, we've had to make a tough decision. By purchasing Blind Bags/Boxes, you agree to accept the contents as received, including any spine ticks, regardless of their severity.
This is now part of our store policy. Since spine ticks are accepted as minor imperfections in the comic industry, Comic Blind Bags will be sold as 8.0+ rather than our Pre-Sale 9.0+ standard.
Blind Bags are non-returnable once shipped due to the surprise nature of their contents. By making a purchase, you agree to this policy. If you buy multiple and get the item you wanted on your first try, you won’t be able to return the rest. All sales are final.

Final Order Cut-Off:
We are supplied by the UK's largest distributor for all things nerdy and geeky. They require final orders to be submitted by 1pm on Friday. To meet this eerie deadline, we close all Pre-Sales for the listed week on the Thursday before, usually anytime between mid-day and mid-night. This allows us to gather all orders carefully and send them on time. If, due to a shadowy oversight, your order comes in after the deadline, you'll be offered a full refund or the chance to place it on Back-Order—a ghostly maybe that your item will arrive.

Returns Policy:
After careful consideration, we've decided to extend your right to cancel pre-sales up until the moment they ship. This policy covers all sales of comics, trade paperbacks, hardcovers, and omnibus editions, which were previously considered final. We value you more than profit margins—please reach out and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Ideally, cancellations should be made before the Final Order Cut-Off, as comics are ordered specifically for you. Pre-orders that have not yet been finalised with our supplier can be cancelled prior to the FOC deadline, which is Thursday midday before the advertised FOC date. While not ideal, we respect your consumer rights.
We're happy to accommodate cancellations when needed, but if an address has three or more cancellations, we may need to pause future orders from that location. This helps us manage our limited stock and serve our community fairly.
Due to limited print runs and periodic releases, these items are exempt from returns under the Distance Selling Act. This means we can't accept returns on comics, trade paperbacks, hardcovers, or omnibus editions once shipped. You can cancel your order anytime before a shipping label is created for the items in your transaction.
Similarly, due to the element of surprise inherent in blind pack items, all blind boxes are also non-returnable (see the Blind Bags/Boxes section above).
For all other collectable items, we offer a 14-day return period for change-of-mind returns. The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. Items must be returned in the same condition as received.

Shipping:
Starting at £1.99 (£2.99/£4.99 for larger items), we will select the postal service. Generally, a Large Letter up to 250g will be sent standard 2nd Class Royal Mail, which doesn't offer tracking—this is typically 1 comic book. Over 250g will be posted via Evri, which includes tracking. Orders over £20 will be sent via 48hr Tracked Royal Mail, which covers up to £75. Anything else, we'll figure it out.
Please be aware that your purchase will be fully financially covered, although the provider will be determined by us. Some services don't offer tracking—this all depends on the price you paid at checkout. Claims will be processed through the correct channels, and we'll keep you updated as we go along.
All comics will now be dispatched in rigid mailers to ensure secure transit. We hold a steadfast conviction that minimal packaging is inadequate for the standards of this industry.
If you would like an additional mailer for double protection during transit, please use the search bar for Supplies and add to your transaction (Note: One is always utilised as standard). Extras are charged per unit and available separately, if desired. We kindly request that you don't use us as a distributor for these—they're for our comic customers. Limited units have been added to prevent such occurrences.

Delivery Timing:
We aim to deliver your purchases as quickly as possible. We usually receive our deliveries every Wednesday, which we call the "PL" (Pick-List), but sometimes delays from our distributors can push this to Friday.
Once items arrive, we check for discrepancies, do quality control, bag and board, package, and mail them, aiming to finish by the weekend. As a small team, processing times can vary based on order volume, but shipping will start no later than the Monday after the American Pull-Date.Â
The "Within ONE week" timeframe at the beginning of our text represents a worst-case scenario. Its occurrence has not happened yet, but we can't rule out the possibility.
Please note that orders with pre-sale items ship together. If you want in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing separate orders to speed up delivery.

Additional Important Supplier Notes:
Our suppliers provide us with stock images, artist information, and release dates. When placing an order with Spooky Electro, please note that you're ordering by the distributor SKU/UPC number, which is associated with these elements. These details may be subject to change without prior notification. For instance, DC often releases new titles with Virgin images initially, as the Trade Dress image may not be available for publication. If a Virgin image is displayed and the cover title does not specify "Virgin," it's assumed that the Trade Dress cover will be provided. For any inquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us.
In the rare event that our distributors are unable to fulfil our orders (a situation that can affect any business), we may be forced to cancel items from customers' orders. This is beyond our control, and we understand the frustration this may cause. In such instances, we're prepared to offer a small discount as a gesture of goodwill. While our budget is limited, we're committed to providing the best possible service. Thank you for your understanding.

Technical Difficulties:
In the rare event of a technical error on our end that affects your order unfavorably, we'll reach out to explain what happened and let you know as quickly as possible. We'll offer three options:
For example, our system may display incorrect title text, such as missing key words like "2nd Printing." In such cases, we'll message you and offer to:
- Keep the item on your order—nothing changes, you'll be aware of the product you'll receive, and your order remains valid.
- Remove the individual product from your order with a partial refund back to the original method of payment—you'll receive your order minus the item that's been affected.
- Complete order cancellation with a full refund issued—you'll receive nothing from your original order.
Please note that such an occurrence doesn't entitle you to a higher-priced item at the lower price—an item of equal value is fair. That's all.
